In call the midwife there are many sound techquines that are
being used within 5 minutes of the tv programme
There are voiceovers in the beginning, which are non-diegetic
sounds
there is some aural landscape as the intro music is repeated throughout the episode various times. There are a lot of sound effects that are used within the programme for example when the baby is born there used a sound effect so the baby will cry, another sound effect that is used was when the man was running into the room the door creaked. The other sound effect that was used was the beeping of the car which is called Foley.
The music changes from when the husband is running to the room when he hears his wife about to give birth, the music is pleonastic as the man is running fast so the music turns really face paced, but then when the women is about to give birth the music is slowed down very drastically . In into with the sound there is background noise of Foley with cars, air aids and sirens. The dialogue of the women speaking is different as we get a posh accent from one of them and the midwifes we get the sense of cockney or east London.

Rabia- when interviewing her rabia talks about how she believes adnan is innocent
13.07- when the police interview jay who is a friend of adnan and he talks about how adnan is guilty towards the murder of hae.
There are more interviews with kevin urick who gets a call from asia and saah interviews her.
Asia get interviewed by sarah on her side of the story as she spends ages trying to find asia’s part of the story, whether adnan is or isn't guilty
Another part of dialogue i find out about asia is when sarah informs adnan that, them two spoke however his reaction is not the most pleasant , he feels that asia should have said some earlier as, the judge convicted him and it was too late
Music
The music in this podcast is very interesting as the itor music gets repeated at least 4-5 times , and it occurs whenever there is like a new story going on, and sometimes the music goes on for ages. Also there is some guitar music
Aaron you use technical language appropriately in this analysis and you give some examples from the TV Show and podcast. You think about the purpose of sound, although this could be developed further. You need to proof read for careless mistakes! Vanessa
