EVALOUTION

1.

The main aim for our project was in order to raise awareness for great Ormond street hospital, we wanted to raise awareness for great Ormond Street as I have had a personal experience with great Ormond Street where my brother, had a condition, so we decided to base it off. We wanted to make the audience feel sympathy for the patient and how he was treated in great Ormond Street and we wanted to make it as anyone can go to great Ormond Street and how you can expect the unexpected, and it was successful as the audience felt sorry for Matthew (the main actor).

2.

The original idea at first was in order to base it off my brother being unwell, however we could not do that as my brother is young as didn't want to be filmed, however if we were to follow through with this idea, we would have used a child actor to play the sick child and his experiences though GOS, however due to a lack of actors and the idea not being that strong we decided to change it, where we decided to have a friend who went through a problem, in our case we decided he had a brain tumour, and The actor, Matthew, who is Connor’s mate, and rides a BMX with him, we decided to base it off B were he loved BMX , but because of the brain tumour when he was a teen so he had to stop BMXing and had to go to Great Ormond street Hospital  where he got treated, and that was the final scene. The campaign at the end was very successful as my whole class enjoyed it and were convicted  about GOSH

3. Within our group there were many good things and things we could have improvement
    Strengths

1.    We worked well together

2.    We managed to do with 2 people, as other groups in my class only had 3-4 people

3.    We got an extra actor to play the ill person

Weaknesses

1.    I personally felt I could have done more

2.    Time management as we left all the pre-production to the last minutes

3.    If we had more people

4. The filling I wasn't there for as I was busy , however Connor and Matthew managed to do it, we had used many different shots for example we had used many different high level shots to show Matthew face clearly, also when we did the interview we managed to do a close up

Editing wise we did good I feel personally as we used different techniques, such as transitions, like fades from one shot to another shot , also we had used a lot of captions when Connor  was asking the questions to Matthew, we showed it before in case Connor voice was too low to hear. We also used sad music to represent the how it is sad time for everyone. Also just like a real advert when Matthew was asking questions we decided to put images at certain points when he was speaking, for example when he was talking about the nurses we had put images of nurses.

So afterwards this was all done we had to show to whole class and at the end there would give us some feedback which was good and bad feedback... One thing that was liked is how we decided to re-created the hospital scene, as it showed true meaning. Another thing that the class found good was the images when we were doing the interview and how the images had supported it and made it clear. There had really like the use of captions. . also how he used convections, some of their including, how at the end we had put logo of Gosh which made it look very professional, how we had voiceovers, we had been told the camera work was perfect, however the problem came from the sound as the sound was at different levels as one time it was really low, and the next it was really loud.

  1. This is a fairly detailed evaluation in which you realistically identify strengths and weaknesses, and you discuss planning, filming and editing. You have also discussed audience feedback. I'd like you to consider more closely how / why you managed to raise awareness of Great Ormond Street. Was the campaign successful and clear? You need to proof read for careless mistakes. Vanessa

    1. Some improvements made Aaron although you still aren't clear on how successful you were overall
